Ćmielów has a porcelain-making heritage and is described as a place that has long been known for its porcelain factory. History
The Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary already existed in the 14th century and is a Gothic, single-nave building with later Baroque and other additions. The ruins of Ćmielów Castle date from 1519–1531 and include fortifications with earthen bastions from the 17th century.
