Skorzęcin: Lakes, nature trails and waterside recreation

Two lakes with different characters

Jezioro Niedzięgiel is also known as Jezioro Skorzęcińskie and covers 637.7 hectares. It is considered the third-largest lake in Greater Poland. By comparison, Jezioro Białe covers 46 hectares; its shores are almost entirely wooded. The difference in size gives you an initial point of reference for comparing the two bodies of water. Jezioro Białe is also home to a group of 43 protected pedunculate oaks. Their trunk circumferences range from 300 to 400 centimetres.

The Ośrodek Sportowo-Wypoczynkowy Skorzęcin is located on the eastern shore of Jezioro Niedzięgiel; the supervised Skorzęcin swimming area is on the lake, within Powidzki Landscape Park. If you are interested in the scenery, you can experience both a large lake and the almost entirely wooded shores of Jezioro Białe.

Nature trail and cycling route

The nature trail starts in Skorzęcin, is about 7.0 kilometres long and passes five stops with themed information boards. You can explore it on foot or by bike. The boards give the route a nature-focused character; its approximate length helps you compare it with your other planned activities without assuming a walking or cycling time.

A longer option for cyclists is a 35-kilometre route around Jezioro Niedzięgiel that starts and ends in Skorzęcin. It is listed in a 2025 PTTK programme; check the route’s current status before setting out. Compared with the nature trail, it is considerably longer and is described as a loop. This lets you choose between a shorter nature trail with stops and a longer cycling trip.

Beach, swimming and leisure activities

The Ośrodek Sportowo-Wypoczynkowy Skorzęcin includes a wide sandy beach. The recreation complex also has water sports equipment rentals, a wake park and a water park. If you want these activities to be a focus of your stay, check that they are currently operating before your visit.

Orla Góra is also within the recreation complex: it rises to 119 metres above sea level and has an amphitheatre. The Ośrodek offers playgrounds and four-wheeled bicycle rentals for children. These specific options differ from the nature focus of the trail and may help you decide which activities to include in your trip plans.
