Krępice brings together several clearly distinct points of interest for a stay: early local history, surviving buildings in the centre, religious sites and specific road connections. Its historical traces date from a mention in 1289 to records from 1786; there are also details about the former uses of two central buildings. This makes it possible to combine cultural history with clear orientation in the road network when planning your trip.

History and former uses

The first mention of Krępice dates from 1289. Duke Henry IV included the place in records concerning the manor in Leśnica. In 1547, the administration of Wrocław granted the town clerk Stefan Heugel permission to establish an estate in Krępice. The two dates represent different historical connections: the earlier reference concerns a manor in Leśnica, while the later one concerns a project in Krępice itself. The mention and the permission to establish the estate therefore describe different events. Together, they provide a brief chronology linking the place to Leśnica and the Wrocław administration of the time.

In 1786, Krępice had an operating distillery, a wine press and an inn. The list brings together different functions: the distillery and wine press were used for processing, while the inn provided hospitality. This historical snapshot supplements the references to the estate with specific aspects of economic life at the time. It also highlights the distinction between production and hospitality, rather than reducing the local history to a single use.

Buildings and religious sites

Two larger, three-storey buildings have survived in the village centre. Before the war, they housed an inn and a trading house. Their former uses connect the architectural history with hospitality and trade. Alongside the inn mentioned for 1786, this creates a contrast across time: the focus there is on three establishments of the time, while here it is on two surviving buildings and their pre-war uses. Their number of storeys and central location give local history a concrete architectural dimension.

The religious sites can also be clearly distinguished. Krępice has a filial church dedicated to Our Lady of Częstochowa; it belongs to the parish of Mrozów. There is also a cemetery chapel. The cemetery in Krępice lies north of the village, near the road leading out to Mrozów, and covers 0.8 hectares. It is Catholic today and was formerly Protestant. Thus, a current religious affiliation and the cemetery’s changing history over time come together here. Its dedication, parish affiliation and cemetery history provide a distinct religious perspective alongside the village’s economic and architectural traces.

Location and road connections

Via a poplar-lined avenue, Krępice is about one kilometre from National Road 94, which runs between Wrocław and Zielona Góra. Road 2058 connects Miękinia and Mrozów via Krępice to National Road 94. Road 104877 D connects Krępice to Kokorzyce over a distance of 1.2 kilometres. These details offer different points of reference: the poplar avenue indicates the approximate distance to the national road, while the two road connections link named places.
