Góra Parkowa: Paths Through Wooded Terrain

Góra Parkowa, at 455 metres high, lies in the central part of Bielawa and is part of the Bielawskie Hills. It covers 29 hectares, of which 28 hectares are forest. A network of walking and cycling paths runs through the wooded terrain. Three walking routes lead to the summit and differ in difficulty; the Góra Parkowa nature trail also leads there. A lookout tower built in 1930 stands at the summit. The Biała Skałka rock face is on the western slope. The different routes offer specific ways to explore the hill on foot, by bike or along the nature trail.

Bielawa also has nearly 500 kilometres of MTB trails, as well as routes for hiking and Nordic walking. These complement the specific walking and cycling paths on Góra Parkowa with other ways to get active. The distinction can help with your planning: on the hill, the focus is on paths that share a common destination at the summit, while the wider range of activities in Bielawa also includes MTB trails and Nordic walking.

City Landmarks and Distinctive Places

Fontanna z Sową is a symbol of Bielawa and is located in the heart of the city. Two atonement crosses add to the notable features of the cityscape: one stands at 27 Waryńskiego Street, the other at 130 Wolności Street. The two addresses identify different locations. Alongside the paths and landscape features of Góra Parkowa, Bielawa also offers specific destinations for exploring the city.

The city landmarks and the hill represent different sides of the town: here, streets and a central fountain shape the view; there, it is forest, paths and a summit. When planning your stay around your interests, you can choose between focusing on city sights and taking an excursion into wooded terrain.
