Dlugie

Długie lies on an isthmus between Lakes Dołgie and Lipie. Water shapes the area, as do the high moraine hills covered with mixed and pine forest. Jezioro Lipie has steep banks and numerous coves. Near Długie, the lake lies within a protected landscape area established in the Drawa Heath. Here, a distinctive lake landscape meets protected nature.

Lake, beach and water activities

On the southern shore of Jezioro Lipie are a bathing area, a bathing pier and a 1.1-hectare sandy beach. The organized bathing area is open to the public. The Długie bathing area has rental facilities for kayaks, sailboats and fishing boats. If you would like to spend your days by the water, you can take these options into account when choosing your destination. A diving center on Jezioro Lipie is visited by divers during the summer season. A find from the lake’s history is also known: divers found a 16th-century axe at a depth of 40 meters.

Cycling and hiking routes

The 27.5 km “Poznański szlak” cycle route runs from Strzelce Kraj. to Długie, passing the shores of smaller and larger bodies of water along the way. The stated total distance offers a concrete reference for planning the ride; no information is provided on its duration or difficulty. If you prefer to travel on foot, there is a blue hiking trail that starts in Długie and runs for 12.5 km around Lakes Lipie, Słowa and Kokno. Manor house and history

The manor park also gives Długie a historical dimension. It covers 11 hectares and preserves an avenue of lime and horse chestnut trees. The manor’s barn was built in the 1820s in the Neoclassical style; the original design of its front façade has been preserved. Northwest of Długie, on the isthmus between Lakes Lipie and Słowa, is a castle hill. It is probably located on the site of an earlier fortification; in the Middle Ages, the castle hill was home to a castle belonging to the von Bornstedt family. The tentative identification of the earlier fortification should be distinguished from the historical castle.
