Recreation at Zalew Karczunek
At Zalew Karczunek in Kałuszyn, there is a bathing area with a sandy beach, two beach volleyball courts, a children’s playground, changing rooms and toilets. In 2017, the Foundation for the Preservation of Jewish Heritage (Fundacja Ochrony Dziedzictwa Żydowskiego) erected a monument at the former Jewish cemetery in Kałuszyn in memory of the town’s Jewish community. More than a thousand people murdered between 1941 and 1943 lie in mass graves at the former Jewish cemetery.
At the parish cemetery, there is a monument dating from 1939 in honor of the soldiers of the 6th Infantry Regiment of the Legions of Marshal Józef Piłsudski (6. Pułk Piechoty Legionów Marszałka Józefa Piłsudskiego). It commemorates a different military history from the monument at the former Jewish cemetery. “Pułk Piechoty” means “infantry regiment” in German and refers to a military unit.
The equestrian monument Złoty Ułan was unveiled on September 13, 2014, on the 75th anniversary of the 1939 Battle of Kałuszyn. It depicts a lancer on horseback with a raised sabre, signaling the call to battle.

The A2 section from the end of the Mińsk Mazowiecki bypass and the Kałuszyn junction to the Groszki junction on DK2 allows through traffic to bypass Kałuszyn. It opened on August 29, 2024.
