City History and Architecture
Przasnysz was granted town rights in 1427. A prominent landmark in the town’s history is the Neoclassical town hall, built in the centre of the market square at the end of the 18th century. Its restoration was completed in 2012. The construction period and later restoration give the town hall distinct historical layers; it also represents the development of the market square as part of the historic town layout.
The Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary is a Late Gothic building dating from 1474 to 1485. Riverside Landscape, Park and Railway History
Przasnysz town park was laid out in the first half of the 19th century and includes an island in the Węgierka. New walking paths made of natural stone aggregate have been laid out in Tadeusz Kościuszko Town Park. It is also home to five oak trees around 300 years old, protected as natural monuments.
