The older part of town and architectural history
The older part of Ciechanowiec has a medieval market square layout. Here you’ll find a Baroque church dating from 1739: the brick parish church Kościół pw. Trójcy Przenajświętszej (Church of the Most Holy Trinity). It was built between 1736 and 1739, funded by ks. Franciszek Ossoliński. The church also contains a funerary epitaph with a marble bust of Krzysztof Kluk. The surviving architectural heritage also includes a brick synagogue building in Ciechanowiec. Its ground floor dates from the 18th century.
