History

The history of Borowo probably dates back to the 18th century. Borowo emerged as a small settlement after Józef Bętkowski began settling Olęder people on his estates.

The Protestant cemetery in Borowo dates from the second half of the 19th century and is listed in the heritage register and the heritage inventory.

Townscape

A large cross stands on the hill before the entrance to Borowo, erected by the residents a long time ago. From the same hill, the entire settlement is clearly visible.

Routes

The Jaktorowo–Szamocin route runs through the center of Borowo. The 22 km-long R-8 “Jaktorowo” cycle route also passes through Borowo and is signposted according to PTTK standards.
