Palace, church and traces of former rule
The Radoliński Palace was built between 1847 and 1853 to designs by Friedrich August Stüler. Its construction took place during the same period as that of the former Protestant Church of St. George: the church was built in 1847–1848 and extensively restored and remodelled in the Neo-Romanesque style in 1894. The church is explicitly a former Protestant place of worship; its history can be understood through these phases of construction and remodelling. Skarbczyk is a surviving part of the former residence of Jarocin’s owners. It is located in the city park, by the pond. Two routes are easy to distinguish by their itineraries. The red trail is a 30.2-kilometre circular route that starts and ends at Jarocin railway station. The green trail runs for 24.5 kilometres from Jarocin railway station to Śmiełów, passing, among other places, the Radoliński Palace. The red trail therefore returns to its starting point, while the green trail has a different endpoint.
Jarocin railway station is the oldest surviving junction station of its type in Greater Poland. It is also the start and finish point of the red trail and the starting point of the green trail. In Jarocin Park, the Parkowy Odkrywca ecological nature trail leads to particularly impressive or valuable trees throughout the park. Its focus is on the park’s trees and discovering them. The adventure park is a separate attraction: it is located next to the amphitheatre in Radoliński Park. For activities on wheels, there is also a skatepark on Św. Ducha Street, behind the car park. A pump track is located on Aleja Światowego Dnia Roweru, behind the S11 overpass when approaching from Maratońska Street.
