Hiking trails and landscapes in Konin County

Konin County has seven marked hiking trails with a total length of more than 110 kilometres. The Złota Góra Nature Reserve offers a specific point of reference: at 191 metres above sea level, it protects the highest hill in the county. You can reach the area via the yellow Brzeźno–Złota Góra trail or the blue Żychlin–Złota Góra–Wyszyna–Turek trail. The landscape areas also differ. The Nadwarciański Landscape Park covers an approximately 30-kilometre stretch of the Warta Valley along its middle course, from the A2 motorway in the east to the mouth of the Prosna. The Diver diving centre is located in the Tręby Stare recreation area, in the municipality of Kleczew and within the Powidzki Landscape Park. In Ślesin stands the triumphal arch that local residents call “Napoleon’s Gate.” It was erected in 1811 in honour of Napoleon, who had passed through Ślesin four years earlier. The Forest Education Centre in Grodziec offers practical forest education. The lake system in Konin County is connected to the navigable Warta by canals and locks and forms part of the Great Waterway of Wielkopolska, which is almost 690 kilometres long.
