Dąbrówka: Hotels and Accommodation

Culture and History

The history of Dąbrówka includes several historical monuments. A commemorative plaque for the von Tempelhoff family, who formerly owned the estates in Dąbrówka, was unveiled on 17 October 2017 in the palace park, next to the ruins of a neo-Gothic chapel, on a glacial erratic. Dąbrówka Park also contains a former German palace dating from the early 20th century.

On the right bank of the Wirynka stood a concave hillfort dating from the 5th to the 8th century, which no longer exists. Near Dąbrówka, on the left bank of the Wirynka, there are also the heavily damaged remains of a conical hillfort dating from the 9th to the 13th century.

A publicly accessible open-air model of a hillfort in Dąbrówka stands near Malinowa Street, next to the primary school and the branch of the municipal library. It illustrates a Slavic hillfort in Dąbrówka whose heyday fell in the 9th and 10th centuries, that is, before the construction of the Piast castle in Poznań.

The historic park in Dąbrówka is one of the oldest parks in the area around Poznań; its origins date back to around 1800. The park is open to residents and serves as a recreational area. The educational trail on Parkowa Street in Dąbrówka includes three information boards on the history of the locality – from the tribal hillfort and the Second World War to the present day.
