On August 2, 2025, a social badminton tournament was held in Godziszewo for the third time. The tournament combined sporting competition with community entertainment and was organised by the village head, the village council and KGW Godziszewo.
Culture and History
The estate in Godziszewo includes a red-brick steward’s house built in 1910. Behind the manor house in Godziszewo lies a landscape park dating from the second half of the 19th century; the park covers 4 ha.
From 1696 until the Second World War, Godziszewo belonged to the Chobienice estates of the Mielżyński family. Along the access road to the manor house in Godziszewo, a group of four-family houses from the early 20th century has been preserved.
Godziszewo was first mentioned in 1391 under the name “Godzeszewo” as a noble village owned by Dobiesław Godziszewski.
