Kamień is one of the oldest settlements in the Złotów region and was mentioned as early as 1225. The St. Margaret church complex in Kamień is one of the most valuable architectural monuments in the Złotów municipality.

Culture

Kamień is home to the former Evangelical Church of St. Margaret, a half-timbered church dating from 1803. The first church in Kamień was built by the Grudziński family after 1619.

The Church of St. Margaret in Kamień is an example of 19th-century sacred half-timbered architecture and features a Neo-Baroque high altar as well as picturesque gallery decorations with a folk character. Two bells dating from 1632 and 1636 hang in the bell tower of the Church of St. Margaret.

On the northern side of the former churchyard of St. Margaret’s Church, there is a row of cast-iron grave crosses from the second half of the 19th century.
