Chapel and Parish Church

The Chapel of St. John the Baptist is the oldest masonry building in the parish of Jerzmanowice and the municipality of Jerzmanowice-Przeginia. It is a listed building. It was consecrated by Bishop Oborski on 4 July 1688. Its status as the oldest masonry building refers to the specified ecclesiastical and municipal areas and gives the chapel a clear place in local history.

St. Bartholomew’s Parish Church already existed in 1338. A new church building was consecrated on 21 June 1884; construction had begun 57 years earlier.
