Termy Jakuba offers a year-round indoor pool with six 25-metre swimming lanes, water play features and a 70.80-metre slide. The saunarium includes a Finnish dry sauna, a Roman sauna, a bio sauna and a salt grotto. The 0.30-metre-deep paddling pool features Monika the frog, a water tongue and a mini waterfall.
The “Spacer po Oławie” walking tour has a different character: it takes you to Oława’s most interesting places, covers about 11 kilometres and takes approximately four hours. The route is not marked on the ground. Its approximate distance and walking time give you a guide for planning your day; at the same time, the tour is quite different from spending time in one place, such as the indoor pool.
Gothic architecture and finds at the Town Hall
The chancel of a Gothic church built around 1300 has been preserved at the Church of Our Lady of Consolation. The church is a three-aisled basilica, and a star vault dating from the 15th century spans the chancel. The building’s history can thus be read in two specific features: the preserved medieval chancel and the later vault design.
The Izba Muzealna Ziemi Oławskiej in Oława Town Hall displays archaeological finds from the fortified settlement at Ryczyn. This adds another way of exploring the past to the city’s visible architectural features: archaeological objects from a fortified settlement. Together, the church and museum offer different points of interest for anyone interested in architecture or history in Oława.

The figurative astronomical clock on Oława Town Hall’s tower is also part of the wider Ohlau context. It dates from the 17th century and is considered a unique monument in Europe, with moving figures. The tower is occasionally opened to visitors during city holidays and events such as Dni Koguta and the Night of Museums. On these occasions, visitors can see the clock mechanism up close and access the viewing gallery, which offers views of the city and its surroundings.
