Seventy elements of the camp infrastructure built by the Germans between 1941 and 1944 have been preserved on the former camp grounds in the city of Lublin. The UMCS Botanical Garden was founded in 1965 and opened to the public in 1974. Bukowa Góra is an area of strict nature protection in Roztoczański National Park, at an elevation of 300 metres above sea level.
