Cycling routes from Słubice
The two official cycling routes start at the bridge connecting Słubice with Frankfurt an der Oder. The Słubicka Pętla Rowerowa is approximately 45 kilometres long. Another option is the Słubice–Urad cycling route: it is approximately 22 kilometres long and runs from Słubice towards the municipality of Cybinka along the Oder Valley. These approximate distances provide a first point of reference when choosing between the two routes.
The wider Słubicki destination also has a shorter recreational cycling route: it starts on ul. Sportowa in Słubice, runs 3 kilometres towards Drzecin, and connects to a 1-kilometre cycle path to Kunowice. The routes described therefore offer different distances and directions.
History at specific sites
The Jewish cemetery on Transportowa Street is one of the oldest Jewish cemeteries in Europe. It was first mentioned in writing on 2 July 1399. These two facts make the cemetery a distinctive historic landmark in Słubice. The Ostmark Stadium tells the story of a different era: construction began in 1914, and it opened on 27 May 1927. It is one of the oldest stadiums in Central Europe and has been a protected historic monument since 2014.
The Ostmark Stadium has six running tracks and facilities for football, golf, tennis, and beach volleyball. There is also an ice rink there in winter. History and sports facilities come together at this site, so you do not have to limit your visit to just one of these themes.
Leisure activities and views
The skatepark with a modular pump track is located at the bus station. If you are looking for a different kind of activity, Park Rozrywki i Rekreacji has spacious walking paths and viewing terraces with beautiful views. The observation tower in Słubice is open Tuesday to Sunday from 10 am to 6 pm.
