Several constructed paths by Lake Wielgie can be distinguished by their length and construction. The educational and nature promenade is 1,023 metres long and paved. Another path runs on wooden piles, is 296 metres long, and has a composite surface. There is also a walking path of about 755 metres along the lake’s north shore. In terms of length, the paved promenade is longer than the other two paths, while the path on wooden piles is the shortest of the three. The comparison therefore depends not only on the distances, but also on the construction and location: a paved surface, piles with a composite surface, or a route along the north shore.
An observation pier over 150 metres long extends into a lake, some tens of metres from the built-up area. As a pier, it is a different type of outdoor structure from the promenades and walking paths. It adds a distinct waterside structure to the range of paths.
The 10.4-kilometre hiking route starts at Dobiegniew train station and leads via Osiek and Chomętowo and Lake Osiek to Spalony Most. The train station as the starting point and the named places make the route easy to follow. Compared with the walking path of about 755 metres along the north shore of Lake Wielgie, this is a much longer option with several named intermediate points. Cultural sites in Dobiegniew
A listed tower with a fragment of the defensive wall stands on Zabytkowa Street. The Muzeum Woldenberczyków is at Gorzowska 8, in a former residential barrack. The two sites differ in their architectural role: the tower is connected to part of the defensive wall, while the museum is housed in a former residential building. Together, a protected structure and a museum in a former residential barrack offer different points of interest in local cultural history.
