The church in Straduny was probably once part of a castle complex built by the Teutonic Knights in the 15th century. This possible early connection gives the village a historical dimension that reaches back well before the events documented later. The first church on this site burned down in September 1736 during a devastating village fire. Thus, alongside its possible medieval history, there is also a specific 18th-century event that shaped the village’s development.
Another turning point came around 1946: the originally Catholic church became a Roman Catholic church. On May 3, 1946, Józef Kącki CRL consecrated the church under the title of Our Lady Queen of Poland. The history of the church is a distinct historical focus for Straduny.
