Lake Gostudno covers 46.38 ha and is fed by the Czerwonka River. It is located about 1 km from Polnica and is best reached via unpaved roads from Polnica or Polniczka. On the eastern shore, there is a car park, a beach, a bathing jetty, and a recreation area.

Cycling Routes

The Powiat człuchowski cycling route No. 5, the “Chrobotkowa” route, passes through Polnica. Its course connects Przechlewo, Imielno, Płaszczyca, Polnica, and Człuchów; the route is 20.3 km long. The 36.8 km-long cycling route No. 9, “Niedzielna,” runs from Człuchów via Polnica, Czarnoszyce, Charzykowy, Nieżywięć, and Krzyżanki back to Człuchów.

Churches and History

The Church of the Holy Trinity in Polnica was built in 1780–1781 and is the oldest surviving church in the Człuchów municipality. It contains an 18th-century altar with sculptures of Saint Joseph and Saint John of Nepomuk. Wall paintings depicting King David and Saint Stanislaus the Bishop have been preserved on the vault of the nave. The church also has 18th-century Rococo furnishings and a pulpit supported by an angel figure.

The Church of the Holy Trinity originated from a church built in the 16th century. It was initially Protestant, became Catholic in 1617, and in 1789 received a new nave and a new chancel attached to the surviving wooden tower.

The former Protestant Church of Saint Joseph in Polnica was built in 1912. Its single-nave interior is richly decorated with paintings and has two galleries.
