The green Szlak Ziemi Tczewskiej im. Romana Klima trail runs for 73.7 kilometres from Tczew to Smętowo Graniczne and is suitable for cycling tourism along almost its entire length. In Waćmerek, the trail reaches Starogardzka Street at kilometre 15.3. From the car park, the trail leads uphill; after 500 metres, it reaches Grodzisko Waćmierek.

Culture

Grodzisko Waćmierek is protected both in the monument register and in the monument inventory. It is considered a well-preserved lowland fortified settlement area on a peninsula of the former Jezioro Gniszewskie. Nearby is the Church of Saint Andrew Bobola in Swarożyn, 3 kilometres west of Waćmerek.

Water and History

Jezioro Waćmierek is a 5-hectare body of water. The register of quiet zones in the Tczew County for inland waters lists Jezioro Waćmierek; these zones serve to ensure suitable acoustic conditions in recreational and leisure areas.

A former dam once divided Jezioro Waćmierek and led from the former estate to a hill. On this hill, which the former dam reached from the former estate, the remains of the former landowners' cemetery have survived to this day. Remarkable Douglas firs also still stand there.

Landscape

To this day, part of the manor park in Waćmierek stands out from the surrounding fallow land, shrubs and natural tree growth because of its tree population.
