Zdrojowy Park covers about 18 hectares and is one of the city’s most important recreation areas. The Dolina Mikołaja lies in its lower section. Lush vegetation and numerous paths between the slopes of a ravine define this area. The park thus combines a distinct landscape experience with its role as a place for relaxation.

The permanent exhibition “Jastrzębie-Zdrój – Perła uzdrowisk śląskich” is dedicated to the history of the spa town. Its exhibits include a marble bathtub from 1862, offering a tangible point of reference within the exhibition. The Galeria Historii Miasta offers free museum lessons for all permanent and temporary exhibitions. It also holds outdoor events about the history of the Jastrzębie region, including “Przystanek PRL-u” and “Piknik w kurorcie”. Carbonarium offers a different perspective. The multimedia permanent exhibition traces the story of coal from its formation in the stars to its present-day use as an energy resource. Nature and Routes in the City

The Jastrzębski Szlak Przyrodniczy “Śladami Natury” highlights the city’s natural assets. The meanders of the Szotkówka are considered the most valuable feature of Jastrzębie-Zdrój’s inanimate natural heritage. Cycling also offers a way to experience the landscape: the initial section of the Jastrzębie stretch of the Żelazny Szlak Rowerowy passes through the Dolina Szotkówki. Except where the route crosses public roads, it is closed to traffic other than bicycles.

The Ośrodek Wypoczynku Niedzielnego includes a water playground and a graduation tower. The center’s amphitheater hosts numerous summer cultural and sporting events.

In the wider Königsdorff-Jastrzemb destination, the Jastrzębski Szlak Przyrodniczy “Śladami Natury” is not a single signposted route, but a collection of green spaces with characteristic plant and animal populations. You can explore them individually using existing roads and paths. The Szotkówka is also a regionally significant refuge for fish and one of the refuges in the Olza catchment area. European beavers (Castor fiber) and Eurasian otters (Lutra lutra) have been recorded there. Las Ruptawiec is a refuge for numerous protected bird species, including the common buzzard (Buteo buteo), which nests in one of the pine trees.

The Żelazny Szlak Rowerowy is a 54-kilometer circular route in the Polish-Czech border region. It passes through Jastrzębie-Zdrój, Godów, Zebrzydowice, Karviná and Piotrowice near Karviná. The route is considered easy to ride and is also suitable for road bikes and bicycle trailers. The length of the circuit provides a useful benchmark when planning a day’s ride.

Kąpielisko Zdrój includes a swimming and leisure pool with water attractions such as bubbling jets, floor and wall massage jets, a water hedgehog, a current channel and a winding slide. There is also a children’s pool and two beach volleyball courts. A playground with slides, swings and other attractions rounds out the facilities; opening may vary by season. In summer, it regularly hosts the Jastrzębie-Zdrój Grand Prix in beach volleyball and the Silesian Cities Regional Beach Volleyball Championships.
