Stalowa Wola combines nature trails with museums, historic buildings and opportunities for exercise and leisure. The approximately 5 km “Ciemny Kąt” educational trail runs through commercial forests within the city limits. There are also kilometres of routes for pedestrians and cyclists at Błonia Nadsańskie, as well as cultural venues with diverse historical connections. This lets you plan your trip around the topics that interest you most.

Forest Trails and Outdoor Activities

The “Ciemny Kąt” nature trail is approximately 5 km long and runs through commercial forests within the boundaries of Stalowa Wola. Its length is a specific reference point for planning your day; it does not indicate a walking time or level of difficulty. If you are interested in nature and forests, you can include this trail as a separate activity.

At Błonia Nadsańskie, there are kilometres of routes for pedestrians and cyclists. Bicycles can be rented there. This gives you the option to choose between walking and cycling according to your preferences. There is also a barbecue area at Błonia. It is free to reserve, and reservations can be made by calling 15 643 36 90 or emailing biuro@mzb-stalowa.pl at the Miejski Zakład Budynków in Stalowa Wola.

Zimnej Wody Park has a skate park, a pump track and a roller-skating rink. These three facilities cater to different interests in wheeled activities. If you would rather be active in the water or are looking for an indoor option, the indoor swimming pool has three pools: two measuring 25 m × 12.5 m each, and a 12.5 m × 6 m learner pool. There is also a 64 m tube slide with a run-out area and two saunas: a dry sauna and a steam sauna.

Museums, Art and Local History

Since 2002, the main branch of the Muzeum Regionalne w Stalowej Woli has been housed in Zamek Lubomirskich, an 18th-century castle. A permanent exhibition explores the history of the former town of Rozwadów, now a district of Stalowa Wola. Alongside nature, this makes the historical development of a present-day city district another topic to explore during your stay.

The Muzeum Regionalne offers guided educational tours around Stalowa Wola for groups of at least 10 people. Another cultural venue is the Rozwadowski Dom Kultury “Sokół”, a branch of the Miejski Dom Kultury. It organises cultural education programmes and cultural events. The building was donated in 1906 by city residents to the Towarzystwo Gimnastyczne “Sokół”.

The Galeria Malarstwa Alfonsa Karpińskiego is housed in a listed former courthouse dating from 1905. The parish church complex of St Florian is also part of the city’s architectural character. It comprises a wooden church and a freestanding bell tower. The complex is listed under registration number A-203, dated 24.04.2007.

Routes and Market Visits

Stalowa Wola lies on the themed Turystyczny Szlak Gniazd Rodowych Lubomirskich; the Szlak Architektury Drewnianej also passes through the city. These route connections complement the historical and architectural themes found at individual sites around the city. If you are interested in markets, you can plan a visit to the Rozwadowski Targ Staroci: during the published season, it takes place every third Sunday of the month from 7:00 to 14:00. Entry is free for visitors who wish to make purchases. The market is directly accessible by local public transport or the city bike rental service.
