Location
Cieszyna is located on the left bank of the Wisłok. The Stępinka stream flows through Cieszyna. In the Stępinka valley, you can catch trout or crayfish.
History
Cieszyna is mentioned in a document issued by Casimir the Great in Nowy Sącz concerning the founding of the town of Wisłoka. At that time, Cieszyna was owned by the Cistercians.
Routes
The red cycling route leads through Cieszyna and runs as a circular route via, among other places, Frysztak and Stępina. From the turnoff in Cieszyna to the center of Frysztak, the red cycling route is approximately 22 kilometers long. The blue Dębica–Wiśniowa–Czarnorzeki hiking trail climbs to the ridge between Pstrągówka and Cieszyna. The green Frysztak–Bardo hiking trail runs along the Cieszyna–Brzostek road, next to the Stępinka stream. The cycling time for the red cycling route is estimated at approximately four hours.
