The tower of the Church of Blessed Dorota of Mątowy rises above the buildings of Dorotowo. It was built with donations from current and former parish residents. Natural Monuments Along the Road
Two linden trees along the road beyond Jezioro Kepijko are designated as natural monuments. One has three trunks, with circumferences of 212, 210 and 290 cm; the other has two trunks, measuring 212 and 190 cm. The shared measurement of 212 cm offers a point of comparison, while the number of trunks and the remaining circumferences differ. This makes it possible to distinguish the two trees by specific features rather than describing them simply as lindens. For visitors interested in details of nature, it is the multiple trunks and individual measurements that make the differences between the trees tangible.
Cycling Route and Village Views
An 11 km cycling route runs from Dorotowo via Majdy and Kręsk to Stawiguda. The sequence of places gives you a concrete reference point for planning. Check the route conditions before setting off. In addition, a municipal project proposed connecting the pedestrian and cycle path with the existing cycling route along ul. Wulpińska in Tomaszkowo, as well as with Dorotowo and Majdy. For orientation, it is worth distinguishing between the two: the 11 km refers to the route via Majdy and Kręsk to Stawiguda; the project concerned a proposed connection with the route in Tomaszkowo and the named villages.
A photo walk in 2026 offers another perspective on Dorotowo: the group met at the beach and then walked through the village in search of characteristic, “postcard-worthy” views. The beach was the meeting point; the subjects they sought were in the village. In this particular itinerary, the starting point and the photographic theme are therefore distinct.
