Church and Estate History

The parish church pw. św. Piotra i Pawła is described as Neo-Gothic and dating from the 18th century. Inside are four stained-glass windows from 1914. The church thus brings together the architecture described and a clearly dated interior feature.

The estate is also part of the village’s historic character: the 19th-century park and the manor house on the Belczna estate are listed in the register of monuments. A manor house in the village is in the eclectic style and dates from the 19th and 20th centuries. The yew trees beside Dworek Tradycja are designated natural monuments.

Dworek Tradycja is located in the former rectory opposite the church.

Landscape Park and Old Trees

The landscape park covers about five hectares and lies in the eastern part of the estate park. Its old trees are fairly well preserved; some have reached monumental proportions. The area is characterised as a degraded hornbeam forest. Together with the listed park and manor house, this gives the grounds both their historic designation and their distinctive tree cover.

The railway line between Szczecin and Gdańsk and the road connection between Gorzów Wielkopolski and Kołobrzeg run through Gmina Łobez, in the wider Labes (Łobez) travel destination. The route is 43 kilometres long and starts and ends in the square in front of the railway station in Łobez. Along the way, it crosses fields, mixed forests, hills, valleys and wetlands, crosses the Rega several times and repeatedly follows its course nearby.

The wider Labes travel destination also offers cultural history: the cycling route Szlak Dziedzictwa Techniki i Architektury was created to showcase local architectural and technical heritage from the 19th and 20th centuries. In Bonin, the church was built in 1845 by Luis von Borcke. Its tower has a Baroque cupola dating from the 18th century; the furnishings include a Mannerist altar from the 17th century and a Baroque pulpit from the 18th century.
