Warnice combines an architectural landmark in the town with water and nature attractions in the surrounding area. When planning your trip, it is worth distinguishing between the locations: the church is in Warnice, while Wierzbno on Lake Miedwie is another nearby point of interest. There are also two nature reserves with different characteristics and a planned regional cycling network. This mix is mainly a matter of priorities: architecture in town, activities on the water and nature attractions offer different focal points.

Church and Cultural Heritage in Warnice

The church in Warnice is one of the particularly valuable surviving architectural structures in the municipality of Warnice. For travelers who want to consider culture and architecture when choosing a destination in Poland, it is a specific local landmark. It gives the destination a cultural dimension alongside the natural attractions in the area. If you take distinctive buildings into account when planning your holiday, as well as activities, the church is a reason in its own right to consider Warnice.

Water Sports and Camping on Lake Miedwie

In Wierzbno on Lake Miedwie, in the vicinity of Warnice, conditions are suitable for water sports enthusiasts to go sailing, kayaking and windsurfing. Fishing and camping are also among the activities available there. The options range from water sports to other activities in the area. When choosing a location, bear in mind that these activities are associated with Wierzbno, while the church is in Warnice.

Nature Reserves and Nature Attractions

Two nature reserves with distinct natural features are located near Warnice. Brodogóry covers 5.24 ha and protects xerothermic grasslands, as well as rare, nationally valuable heat-loving plant and fungal species. An educational trail runs along the western edge of the reserve, and a route from Grędziec leads to a viewpoint. Stary Przylep covers 2.13 ha and lies within the “Jezioro Miedwie i Okolice” Natura 2000 bird protection area. While Brodogóry is characterized by grasslands and heat-loving species, Stary Przylep is notable for its connection to the bird protection area. The reserves also differ in size: Brodogóry is larger than Stary Przylep. In Stary Przylep, you may move only along designated paths or with the consent of the Regional Director for Environmental Protection. Check the applicable rules before visiting.

Regional Cycling Network Plans

An announcement from 2012 to 2014 outlined a 571 km cycling network to be marked by certified signposting teams. It was planned to run through all the municipalities in Stargard County, with the exception of the city of Stargard Szczeciński, as well as through the municipalities of Pyrzyce and Warnice. The planned route thus placed Warnice in a wider regional context alongside the municipalities mentioned. Before setting out on a cycling trip today, check the route and signage in advance.
