Discover Rogoźno: Church, Museum and Hiking Trails
Accommodation in Rogoźno
Rogoźno can be explored through a distinctive historic monument, a regional museum and waterside activities. This provides a practical mix for planning your trip: you can consider cultural history, exhibitions, an educational trail by the bathing area and several routes with clearly stated lengths. The differences below can help you tailor your stay to your interests.

Church and Regional Museum
St. Vitus Church is considered Rogoźno’s oldest church and most valuable historic monument. It is a clearly identifiable landmark for travellers who want to include historic sites in their plans alongside outdoor activities. The Wojciechy Dutkiewicz Regional Museum adds to this focus with a specific historic building: it is housed in the listed Neoclassical town hall of the New Town, built between 1826 and 1828.
The museum’s three permanent exhibitions on history, ethnography and nature are spread over more than 350 square metres. There are also temporary exhibitions, bringing together several subject areas. Its programme is not limited to exhibitions: it also offers museum classes, lectures and competitions. The museum’s profile thus extends from its permanent displays to additional educational and event formats.
Bathing area and educational trail
At the Za Jeziorem bathing area, Rogoźno’s waterside character is reflected in two specific offerings. The beach is open and sunny, with sand and a gently sloping entry into the water; beyond that, the lakebed drops away. This describes the entry more precisely than a general reference to a beach: it starts shallow and then gets deeper. The “Życie biologiczne w jeziorach” educational trail, which is open to tourists, is located 50 metres from the bathing area. Its 18 features include information boards, games, a world mirror, an educational hut and tables with benches. This makes it possible to view a visit to the water and the themed educational trail as distinct options located close to one another.
Red-marked hiking trails
There are two red-marked trails for hiking, differing mainly in direction, length and route. The 16-kilometre route runs from Skoki via Lakes Budziszewskie and Rogozińskie to Rogoźno. The 19-kilometre route, by contrast, starts in Rogoźno and runs via Cieśle, Pruśce, Lake Wiatrowskie and Lake Łęgowo to Wągrowiec. The difference in length is three kilometres; direction also matters when choosing a route: Rogoźno is the destination on one trail and the starting point on the other.
Other routes returning to Rogoźno
Two other routes start in Rogoźno and return there. The 24-kilometre route passes through Studzieniec, Nienawiszcz, the “Buczyna” nature reserve, Słomowo and Boguniewo before returning to Rogoźno. The 27-kilometre route runs via Cieśle, Potulice, Tarnowo, Karolewo and Owieczki before returning to town. Unlike the hiking trails that include Rogoźno as either a starting point or destination, these two routes return there. They differ in length by three kilometres, and their named intermediate places are quite different.
