Jerzmionki can be explored through two themes: cycling and local history. A route connects the village with Zamarte; historical records span everything from the village’s former name to its rural settlement pattern. This allows you to consider Jerzmionki as a destination for an active tour or an interest in cultural history—or include both in your trip to Poland.

Cycling between Zamarte and Jerzmionki

A 1.2-kilometre cycling route connects Zamarte and Jerzmionki and runs along county road 1101C. Its length, endpoints and route along the road are therefore clearly specified. A shorter cycling tour can also take the form of a loop through Jerzmionki. These two options offer different ways to plan: a route between the villages and a circuit through Jerzmionki. The newly built cycling route was officially opened for use at an opening ceremony. Check local route conditions before setting out on a specific ride.

Local history across several periods

Jerzmionki was first mentioned in 1357 under the name Hermansdorf. Historically, the village was owned by the town of Chojnice. Its cultural and religious affiliations also span different periods: Jerzmionki once belonged to the cultural region of the Kosznajder and the extensive parish of Ogorzeliny; today, it belongs to the parish of Zamarte. The village’s history therefore encompasses both former affiliations and its present-day parish. These details provide a historical context for choosing the destination, extending beyond its first recorded mention.

Settlement pattern and a house from around 1900

The provincial heritage inventory lists Jerzmionki’s rural settlement pattern as an immovable monument not included in the heritage register. Separately, the house at Jerzmionki No. 16 is dated to around 1900. These two references concern different scales: one the settlement pattern as a whole, the other a single house. This distinction offers a particular way of exploring the village for travellers interested in cultural history. The house’s date is approximate, providing a general indication of its period rather than an exact year of construction.

A regional connection to food culture

Jerzmionki also has a culinary connection at county level. At an event in Sępólno County on 28 March 2026, traditional Easter dishes prepared, among others, by the Jerzmionki KGW were offered for tasting. This dated event adds a regional perspective on traditional food culture to the village’s history.

The themes offer distinct considerations for your travel plans: cycling centres on a specified connection and a possible loop, while the cultural-history references range from the village’s name to the documented settlement pattern and a single house. This makes it possible to consider Jerzmionki through specific cycling and historical themes without combining them into a single itinerary.
