Those considering Trzebinia as a destination for a trip to Poland will find cultural, architectural and spiritual points of interest, as well as routes of varying lengths. The range extends from the cultural centre at Dwór Zieleniewskich to the history of a statue of the Virgin Mary and an international pilgrimage route. These topics offer different ways to discover the town and explore it according to your own interests. The information can be broadly divided into features of the town and routes: Dwór, church and monastery park highlight architectural and religious details, while the pilgrimage route and two connecting trails focus on their course and length. You can first decide whether you would rather explore Trzebinia through specific places or by following routes.

Culture and Manor House Architecture

The Trzebińskie Centrum Kultury is located in Dwór Zieleniewskich. The centre hosts concerts, exhibitions and meetings with interesting personalities. Its event programme may change. If you would like to include cultural events in your travel plans, you can consider these offerings as one of Trzebinia’s points of interest. Dwór Zieleniewskich thus serves both as an event venue and an architectural point of interest: the cultural centre is housed in this named building, and its roof shape and portico feature in descriptions of the manor house. If you consider cultural events and architectural features together, you will find both in the same place.

The architecture of Dwór Zieleniewskich also gives the town a distinctive character. The building has typical features of an old Polish manor house. These include a broken mansard roof, also known as a Polish roof, and a portico four columns wide on the courtyard side.

Church, Statue of the Virgin Mary and Park

The Church of the Sacred Heart of Jesus in Trzebinia is known for a statue of the Virgin Mary venerated as miraculous. The statue was brought from Fatima in 1962.

The park surrounding the church and monastery includes a stone grotto with a statue of the Virgin Mary, as well as Stations of the Cross featuring figures by Kraków sculptor J.J. Noworol.

Pilgrimage Route and Connecting Trails

The International Pilgrimage Route from Częstochowa to Mariazell also passes through Trzebinia. It runs along Piłsudskiego, Kościuszki and Długa Streets to the Fatima Sanctuary; from there, the route continues towards Zalew Chechło.

The stated lengths make it easy to compare two connecting trails starting from Trzebinia: the blue trail is 11.1 kilometres long, and the black trail is 3.8 kilometres long. The black trail is therefore the shorter of the two, and the blue trail the longer. The difference in length is 7.3 kilometres; the blue trail is almost three times as long as the black one. Trail details may change, so if you plan to take one of these routes, check the latest route information before setting out.
