Modrzewie nature and forest trail
The “Modrzewie” nature and forest trail is in the area around Mizerna. From Mizerna, a 250 m-long surfaced forest track, gravelled in places, leads to the trail. Within the reserve, the network includes a path about 500 m long beyond the first row of trees and a path about 700 m long through the middle of the protected area. These details distinguish the access route from Mizerna from the paths within the reserve itself.
Another marked path, about 300 m long, leads to a viewing terrace overlooking the Tatra panorama. If you are looking for a specific destination on a nature outing, the terrace is a named landmark; the two longer paths run in other parts of the reserve. This lets you consider the route lengths together with their respective locations, rather than treating them as one continuous route.
The nearby Girowa Góra ridge and the “Modrzewie” nature reserve can also be reached from Mizerna. The 10.43 ha protected area preserves a naturally occurring stand of Polish larches. Along with paths and views, the area offers a specific natural feature: the protected larch stand on the ridge.
Tour destinations: Turbacz and Lubań
Mizerna can serve as a starting point for trips to Turbacz and Lubań. Turbacz is 1,310 m high and Lubań is 1,211 m. The difference between the summit elevations is 99 m; Turbacz is the higher of the two destinations. This gives you two clearly identified mountain destinations, with their different elevations to help guide your choice.
