Łask combines urban history and culture with a stay by the water. Around the market square, you’ll find the Muzeum Historii Łasku in a historic townhouse and Łask’s old town with its redesigned market square. The Kolumna district adds distinctive wooden architecture, while at “Zajączek” bathing beach, the reservoir, beach and bathing area take centre stage. When planning your trip, it’s therefore helpful to decide first whether you want to focus on urban history or time by the water.

History, architecture and the rose festival
The Muzeum Historii Łasku presents permanent exhibitions on the history of Łask on the Grabia River, as well as temporary exhibitions. The permanent exhibition offers an insight into the town’s history; if you’re particularly interested in a temporary exhibition, check what’s currently on offer before your visit.
The rose festival is also part of the town’s event history: the first edition took place in 2013. Well received, the festival developed into a recurring event. If the festival is a deciding factor for your trip, check the dates of the planned edition rather than assuming a particular annual or future edition will take place.
The redesigned market square is part of Łask’s old town. Kolumna has a different architectural character: the district draws on the garden city movement popular around the turn of the 20th century and features original wooden architecture. Together, the market square and Kolumna offer different points of interest for a stay focused on townscape and architectural history.
Zajączek bathing beach and routes through Łask
The municipal “Zajączek” bathing beach is beside a reservoir formed by the Grabia and Pisia rivers. The body of water covers around two hectares and has a small island in the middle. Fishing takes place on the northern shore; on the opposite shore, there is a designated, supervised bathing area and a beach. This layout makes the different activities by the water clear: fishing and swimming take place on separate parts of the shore. Seasonal bathing conditions may vary, so check the current conditions before your visit.
During the summer holidays, kayaks and smaller sports and recreational equipment are available to rent at the bathing beach. Rentals are seasonal; if you’d like to include them in your plans, confirm availability before travelling. This will help you plan your time by the water around the actual holiday period, without assuming rentals are available year-round.
