Weaving History and Hiking
In the 19th century, Pieszyce developed into an important center of weaving. This gives the town a specific historical connection and complements its nature and route offerings with a cultural theme. When planning a trip to Poland, you can explore Pieszyce not only through outdoor activities but also through its weaving history.
The green-marked hiking trail passes through Walim, Przełęcz Walimska, Rozdroże pod Kokotem, Rościszów, Lasocin, Kozie Siodło, Sokolec, Ludwikowice Kłodzkie, Jugów, Przełęcz Jugowska and Kamionki on its way to Pieszyce. The route is 34.4 km long. Its course and length give you specific details to help plan your trip; check current trail conditions before setting out.
Rock Formations in the Municipality
Niedźwiedzia Skała is a rock formation on the southern slope of Kozia Równia. It lies along a section of the Główny Szlak Sudecki hiking trail between Przełęcz Jugowska and Kozie Siodło, and is one of the youngest natural monuments in Lower Silesia. The formation’s hillside location, the trail section and its regional context are all specified.
The Siedem Sówek natural monument is a rock formation made of quartz conglomerate. It forms a wall of numerous small and large rock outcrops, ledges, towers and cliffs, with the highest reaching about 20 m. Unlike Niedźwiedzia Skała, the focus here is on the geology and varied structure of the rocks. The height is approximate: the highest formations reach about 20 m.
Museum in a Former Factory Building
The Muzeum Gór Sowich – Region Sudety is located in a former factory building with 2,500 m² of built-up area and a site measuring just under one hectare. Its collections include agricultural machinery and tools, household items and appliances, and numerous machines and tools from various fields of technology. The museum’s subject matter thus ranges from agriculture and the home to different areas of technology. If you are interested in technology and everyday objects, it offers another point of interest to consider when planning your trip.
