Golejów is located on the northern slopes of the Wzgórza Radomickie at an elevation of 315 to 400 metres. The village also lies on the route between Jelenia Góra and Bolesławiec.

Culture and History
The Church of St Felix and St Adauctus in Golejów was built in 1784. Tombstones are set into its walls. The cemetery next to the church dates from the 18th century and has an interesting spatial layout. Its gate features a profiled, semicircular portal. The church is listed both in the heritage register and in the list of historic monuments.
The first recorded mention of Golejów dates from 1286. The village is home to an atonement chapel dated 1672. There are also 33 wayside chapels and roadside figures in Golejów and its surroundings. A wooden cross dating from 1651 has also been preserved.
Nature and Trails
Fine-crystalline, platy dolomite is exposed in the Golejów dolomite quarry. The quarry is located halfway along the dirt road from Golejów to Łupki.
In the Dolina Bobru Landscape Park and its buffer zone, traces of ancient settlements and hillforts have been preserved in Golejów. The E3 International Long-Distance Trail runs through the Dolina Bobru Landscape Park and its buffer zone.
