Bogatynia’s history and present-day character are especially evident in its Lusatian building culture and seasonal leisure activities. The work included the roadway and sidewalks, as well as lighting and street furniture. The churches also offer their own architectural and historical highlights. The Church of the Immaculate Conception was built in 1868 by the Cistercian Order as a monastery church. The Church of Saints Peter and Paul is a Baroque church with remnants of an earlier Gothic church building. Its furnishings include a rich collection of 17th- and 18th-century epitaphs. Their histories therefore differ: one was founded as a monastery church, while the other combines Baroque architecture with older Gothic remnants and epitaphs.

The Bogatyński Ośrodek Kultury offers another cultural dimension, with competitions, performances and concerts, as well as film screenings at the “Kadr 3D” cinema.
