Since 2005, the School Tradition Room of the 7th Lublin Uhlan Regiment has been located at the 7 PUL School Complex in Cyców. Its collections are open to visitors in two rooms. The regiment’s traditions are reflected in its name, giving this attraction a clear historical focus. If you are interested in local and military history, the Tradition Room offers a different perspective from the architectural history of the former church or the commemoration at the cemetery. Church architecture and religious changes
The former Uniate Church of St Michael the Archangel in Cyców was built between 1860 and 1870 in the Byzantine style. Its subsequent history can be traced through two significant changes: in 1875 it became an Orthodox church, and in 1918 it was converted into the Roman Catholic Church of the Protection of St Joseph. Its construction period and architectural style thus sit alongside a changing religious use; describing it as a former Uniate church records its original status. Opposite stands a statue of the Virgin Mary dating from 1862. This date falls within the period when the church was built, adding a second, precisely dated point of interest. A cemetery with significance beyond the First World War
The military cemetery in Cyców dates from the First World War. It is also the final resting place of those killed in the Polish–Soviet War.
