On Route No. 2 – Kamienicki Mlyn, marked signposts lead to the summit of Zamkowa Góra and the observation terrace. From there, you can enjoy panoramic views of Lakes Białe, Czarne, Junno, Kamienickie, Odnoga and Potęgowskie. The view links a specific waypoint with a broad panorama of the lakes: knowing their six names helps you place the view in context, rather than seeing the terrace merely as a single destination on the map.
Zamkowa Góra is 229.5 metres high and is located in the municipality of Kartuzy, right on the border with the municipality of Sierakowice and near Kamienicki Mlyn. Zamkowa Góra is near Kamienicki Mlyn; Route No. 2 leads to the summit and observation terrace.
The start of Nordic walking route No. 10
Nordic walking route No. 10 starts at the car park below the observation terrace on Zamkowa Góra in Kamienicki Mlyn. From the car park, follow the route markers. After about 70 metres, the route turns left towards Kamienicki Mlyn; after another 60 metres, it turns right onto a field track leading to the forest along the fields. These brief directions make the start of the route easy to follow: first the turn to the left, then the change to the field track.
The initial stretch climbs along a winding gravel path through the forest. The route then follows forest paths through beech woodland. This described section therefore changes from an uphill gravel path to paths beneath the beeches.
The route is marked. As signage and conditions on the ground may change, check your route before setting off.
A section of the Kashubian Hiking Trail
The red-marked Kashubian Hiking Trail also runs in the vicinity of Kamienicki Mlyn. The route runs from Sierakowice to Gołuń and is 139.5 kilometres long in total. Route No. 10 combines the gravel climb with forest paths through beech woodland. According to the signposts, Route No. 2 leads to the summit and the terrace with its lake panorama. The Kashubian Hiking Trail, by contrast, offers a nearby section of a long-distance route with named endpoints. This lets you plan around the views, the forest path or the long-distance trail as separate highlights, without treating the three route descriptions as a single trail.
