Grzybowo: Hotels and accommodations

The village settlement structure of Grzybowo and Grzybowski Młyn lies within a conservation protection zone. The protected features include the historic road layout, farmstead structures, traditional Kashubian residential and farm buildings, religious sites and objects, road surfaces, and the historic vegetation associated with the settlements and road layout.

Culture and history

Grzybowo is one of the farming villages that developed around settlements established from the late 16th to the mid-18th century. The school building in Grzybowo dates from 1903; the former school building is now a residential building and a library. The Kapliczka Hetmańskich in Grzybowo dates from the 1930s.

Public celebrations are also part of the traditional local culture. The fourth Orszak Trzech Króli procession passed through Grzybowo on 6 January 2025. The Orszak Trzech Króli 2025 in Grzybowo included communal singing of Christmas carols accompanied by accordion music.

The harvest festival of Kościerzyna Municipality was held in Grzybowo for the first time on 1 September. It began with a public outdoor thanksgiving mass and included a traditional bread-sharing ritual with bread made from this year's harvest.

Trails and waterways

The red Kaszubski Trail runs through Grzybowo and is approximately 135 kilometres long overall. The section of the Kaszubski Trail in Kościerzyna Municipality runs through the valleys of the Rekownica, Trzebiocha and Wda rivers.

The Trzebiocha flows through the area of Grzybowo and forms an important connection between the lakes. On the official canoeing route map, Grzybowo is marked in the area showing the Wda and Trzebiocha waterways.

Nature

Grzybowo lies in the buffer zone of Wdzydzki Landscape Park.
