In Dankowice, cultural history, paths by the water, cycling, and regional traditions come together as distinct themes.
If you choose Dankowice as your destination, booking a hotel can be part of your individual travel planning.
Culture
St. Adalbert's Church in Dankowice is a single-nave Neo-Gothic building. It was built between 1896 and 1898 and consecrated in 1905. The Austrian border post, which is considered a sightseeing attraction, is also located in the square between the church and the rectory.
The so-called Swedish Cross can be viewed at the intersection of Oświęcimska and Browarnik streets. According to local tradition, it marks the burial site of victims of a 1655 battle involving Swedish troops in the area of Dankowickie Potoki. Na Kopcu is a naturally elevated site in Dankowice associated with the legend of a Mass celebrated by Saint Adalbert.
