Market Square: Town Hall, Statues and Fountain

The brick town hall, with its distinctive tower, stands in the market square. The Lubomirski family had it built around the mid-18th century. Also in the square are a historic statue of the Virgin Mary and a statue of Saint Florian; both date from the 18th century. This brings together a historic building and two religious statues in one place. The multimedia fountain in the market square adds a different note. It is especially striking after dark and can be viewed from the nearby benches. Its facilities cover a range of activities: swimming, sports and tennis, ice skating, road safety education and outdoor exercise.
