Winter and summer activities on Piękna Góra
The ski slopes on Piękna Góra are snow-covered and groomed, and illuminated after dark. Ski and snowboard lessons with professional instructors are available for beginners. A snowpark is aimed at snowboarders. This mountain therefore offers several different winter sports options: slopes, lessons and a snowboarding area. For an activity on the water, a kayaking route follows the Gołdapa from Lake Gołdap through the town and onward via Juchnajcie, Boćwinka, Sapałówka and Banie Mazurskie to Zakałcze and Mieduniszki. The route extends beyond the town section, offering a way to explore the Gołdapa as a travel and activity destination.
Routes on water and land
For a trip on land, the green hiking and cycling trail toward Grabowo starts at the Emanuel Kant monument in Goldap. The trail is 23.3 kilometres long and classified as moderate. Its length and difficulty rating give you two concrete points of reference for considering this route in your plans. By comparison, the kayaking route follows the Gołdapa and passes through several places on its way to Mieduniszki. You can decide first whether a trip on the water or a hiking and cycling trail is a better focus for your stay.
