If you’re looking for accommodation in Kliniska Małe, the wider destination of Gollnow (Goleniów) may also be part of your travel plans. Its attractions range from medieval urban history and nature reserves to hiking, cycling and water-based activities. The following highlights relate to Gollnow and can help you weigh up different interests for your trip to Poland.

Urban history on the Ina

Brama Wolińska, also known as Brama Chrobrego, is a Gothic defensive gate dating from the 14th century. The structure in Goleniów is 26 metres high and has six storeys. Significant sections of the medieval town walls have survived; their most interesting and best-preserved section lies southwest of the Old Town, on the Ina.

The Ina flows through the Goleniów municipality and the town of Goleniów. The Goleniowska Aleja Legend is also located along the river: a riverside promenade renovated in 2013, with granite sculptures depicting local legends. Here, historic structures meet sculptural depictions of local stories along the town wall and promenade.

The Centrum Informacji Turystycznej is located in the passageway of Brama Wolińska. It provides information about tourist infrastructure, agritourism and tourism, places of interest in the town and region, cycling routes, and cultural and sporting events. Twierdza Design is another part of Goleniów’s history: this historic industrial site originated as a railway water tower, renovated between 2019 and 2020; it is used by social organisations.

Nature reserves and forest landscapes

The Wilcze Uroczysko nature reserve covers just under 63 hectares and extends across the municipalities of Goleniów and Stepnica. It protects a wetland and valuable riparian forests, and also serves as a refuge for white-tailed eagles. Uroczysko Święta is a different protected area: established in 1973, it covers 9.5 hectares in the Goleniów Forest District and protects part of a deciduous forest as a botanical reserve. The two reserves have distinct focuses, from wetlands and riparian forests to protected deciduous woodland.

Hiking and cycling trails

Goleniów offers a variety of route descriptions to help you find your way on the trails. The Miejski Szlak Turystyczny leads to architectural monuments and places of interest in the town, and is marked with blue footprints. The green PTTK hiking trail Szlak Borów Goleniowskich is 17.1 kilometres long, well marked and especially recommended for hikers and cyclists. Its route runs between Krzewno, Łęsko, Pucko and Kliniska Wielkie.

Several distances and routes are also given for cycling. A green cycle route is 45 kilometres long and passes through Goleniów, Żdzary, Łaniego, Krępsko, Miękowo, Żółwią Błoć, Niewiadowo, Glewice, Stacja PKP Mosty, Burowo and Mosty. The 13-kilometre Sentimental Cycle Route runs through Borzysławiec, Lubczyna, Czarna Łąka, Pucice and Rurzyca. The 17.1-kilometre hiking trail and the two cycle routes offer specific distances to help you distinguish between the tour options described.

Water tourism in Lubczyna

The Przystań Jachtowa in Lubczyna offers water-based tourism. Its three harbour basins can accommodate around 35 inland yachts and 15 seagoing yachts. These figures describe the facility’s capacity, not the availability of a berth at any particular time. Along with the Ina and the hiking and cycling trails, the marina adds to the range of travel interests in the wider Gollnow destination.
