Beach and Seafront Promenade
Mielno’s beach is considered guarded. The Mieleńska Promenada Przyjaźni, or Friendship Promenade, is about 2 kilometres long and connects Mielno with Unieście. It was laid out in 1908 and is used for walks; it offers views of the sea. A stroll here brings together a piece of local history and views of the coast. Its approximate length can help you include the promenade as a destination in its own right in your day’s plans, rather than treating the walk as interchangeable with other routes around town.

Nature Trail and Cycling Route in the Coastal Forest
The Leśna Pętla Przygód i Tajemnic is a nature trail through old dunes in the distinctive coastal forest. It is located within the “Koszaliński Pas Nadmorski” Protected Landscape Area. The trail also follows the Velo Baltica cycling route. If you like to combine coastal scenery with outdoor activity when planning your trip, this is where the nature trail and cycling route meet, without making them the same experience.
Features of the trail include a footbridge and an observation terrace. There are also two newly built covers over bunkers from the Second World War. These features offer different points of interest along the route: the dunes and forest, views from the terrace, and traces of history. The trail can be accessed from ul. 1 Maja or ul. Kościelna. These two streets give you specific directions for finding the trail entrance.
A Historical Look at Mielno
The Church of the Transfiguration of the Lord in Mielno dates back to the 15th century. The town’s history therefore reaches much further back than the Friendship Promenade, laid out in 1908. These are distinct historical points of reference: the church dates to the 15th century, while the promenade is part of the history of walks by the sea.
