Rów: Cycling Route and Historic Traces
Accommodation in Rów
For your travel planning, Rów’s new cycling route, historic traces and two different transport connections are central. In the wider destination of Soldin, Myślibórz offers additional cultural, nature and water activities. When choosing a place to stay, you can distinguish between experiences directly in Rów and things to explore across the wider destination.
Cycling towards Rów
The newly built cycling route from Góralice towards Rów is open for use; its completion was reported in September 2026. The route follows the embankment of a disused railway line. The new section connects the existing BLUE-VELO route in Góralice with the West Pomeranian Lake District route.
This gives you a specific cycling connection to consider when choosing where to go: it runs from Góralice towards Rów and connects there with the above-mentioned Lake District route. If you are planning your trip around cycling routes, the names BLUE VELO and West Pomeranian Lake District are useful reference points for further planning. A separate option is Droga 1000 Jezior: its northern route, intended for motor vehicles, passes through Rów between Trzcińsko-Zdrój and Golenice.
Church and archaeological site
Rów’s history also has two clearly identified points of interest. The filial church pw. Nawiedzenia Najświętszej Maryi Panny is a historic church. The archaeological settlement site osada Rów is also located here and is listed as site 14. The church and settlement site represent different forms of cultural heritage: a historic religious building and an archaeological site.
Rów along the road
National Road 26 passes through Rów. Here, it forms part of the connection from the state border via Krajnik Dolny and Chojna to Myślibórz. Together with the motorised Droga 1000 Jezior, it provides a point of reference that includes both a long-distance road connection and a route with a specific theme.
More cultural and water activities in the wider destination of Soldin
In Myślibórz, the Old Town preserves a medieval street plan. The Nowogródzka Gate remains in the defensive walls; the Town Hall dates from the late Baroque period and displays Rococo and early Neoclassical features. Beside the market square stands the Kolegiata Świętego Jana Chrzciciela. Other historic buildings include the Dutch windmill at ul. Szkolna 8.
Cultural events also give the wider destination its own rhythm: the Muzeum Pojezierza Myśliborskiego holds the Jarmark Klasztorny each year around the turn of May and June, an open-air festival with a historical and cultural character. The Spotkania Młodych Autorów i Kompozytorów Piosenki SMAK takes place every September. Young singers, authors, composers and performers take part; established composers and artists lead workshops. Dni Myśliborza is a recurring open-air event for residents of the town and surrounding area, as well as tourists.
For relaxation and water sports, Jezioro Myśliborskie is another option in the wider destination of Soldin. In Myślibórz, there are two bathing areas on the lake supervised by WOPR lifeguards: at ul. Szarych Szeregów and at os. XX-lecia PRL. The Pływalnia Kryta in Myślibórz has five 25-metre swimming lanes and adds an indoor swimming pool to the water activities on offer.
Nature reserves at the municipal level
Two distinct landscapes are protected in Myślibórz municipality: Długogóry and Tchórzyno. Długogóry protects a terminal moraine landscape with numerous erratic boulders, Pomeranian beech forest and small bodies of water with aquatic and marsh vegetation. Tchórzyno preserves, for scientific and educational purposes, a peat bog with rare vegetation growing on lake chalk, as well as a lake in the process of silting up with underwater meadows. Both protected areas are in Myślibórz municipality and offer an additional perspective on the municipality’s natural environment.
