Tleń is a tourist destination for relaxation, with numerous walking, cycling and water trails. The town offers several points of interest to help you plan your trip: walks along the Prusina or the Wda, routes by lakes and through the forest, and traces of local history. Walking trails of different lengths
You can walk along the Prusina or the Wda. Another option is the Do Piekła trail: this short, easy loop is 3.3 kilometres long, starts in Tleń and follows the Wda. Na perłowym szlaku is a 5.2-kilometre loop that also starts in Tleń. It goes around Lake Mukrz and offers numerous viewpoints. The stated distances provide a specific basis for comparing these two loop trails.
The Piętaszków trail also heads towards Lake Mukrz. It runs from a trail junction on the road from Tleń to the water station, first along a forest path towards the lake and then along its shore. The Ścieżynka Zagłoby trail goes from Tleń via Lake Piaseczno, Stara Rzeka and Radańska to Osie. The routes described thus range from loops with a stated distance to a longer route between several places.
Water, forests and cycling routes
Those interested in water routes will also find a special connection to paddling in Tleń: between the Żur Reservoir and Lake Mukrz, kayakers carry their kayaks overland.
For cycling, the Tropami II Rzeczypospolitej loop connects Osie, Tleń, Wierzchy, Łążek and Starą Rzekę. A running-trail project located entirely in the forest lists Leśny Trail at 3 kilometres and Klaudi Adventure at 5 kilometres; one starting point is in Tleń. These routes offer different points of reference for planning: a cycling loop between several named places, two named running trails, and paths whose route explicitly leads to Lake Mukrz or follows the Wda.
Wooden sculptures and historic townscapes
Four-metre-high wooden sculptures stand in a square in Tleń. They depict a mushroom picker, a forestry worker, an angler and a chub. There is also a memorial stone and a plaque about Prof. Alfons Hoffmann. Together, the figures and the other two features give this square a distinctive connection to local history and the subjects depicted.
The railway station complex is among the surviving elements of the historic town layout and is considered a heritage site of high value. Another notable feature lies beside the railway bridge: a boulder partly covered in lichen and designated a natural monument. Its circumference is 12.3 metres; it is 4.8 metres long, 4.9 metres wide and 1.4 metres high. These measurements give a concrete sense of the boulder's size, while its location by the railway bridge identifies it as a distinct landmark in the townscape.
