Discover Górzno on Foot and by Bike

When planning a trip to Górzno, you can choose from routes of different lengths: the “Wokół jeziora Górzno” nature and educational trail is about 6 km long, while two hiking trails cover considerably longer distances. If you are considering a hotel stay or other accommodation in Górzno, you can first decide whether a shorter walk or a longer tour is a better fit for the days you have available.

The blue hiking trail runs from Górzno to Bachotek and is 44 km long. The green hiking trail from Górzno to Łąkorz covers 56 km. When choosing a route, you can compare the distances with the length of the hikes you are planning.

For cyclists, the blue “Centralny” cycling trail offers a 26.2 km circular route through Górzno, Fiałki, Czarny Bryńsk and Bryńsk Szlachecki. This provides a dedicated loop alongside the hiking trails. The named places are part of the route, so plan the cycle as one continuous tour and keep its total length in mind.

Lakeside Trail and Views

The approximately 6 km “Wokół jeziora Górzno” nature and educational trail runs partly through Górzno city park and offers several viewpoints. From a hill near where the Górzanka flows out of Lake Górzno, you can enjoy a view of Górzno and the lake. The trail is also considered suitable for family walks.

The Górznieńsko-Lidzbarski Landscape Park is located near Górzno. In the park’s northern part and around Górzno, elevation differences reach 30–40 m. The Brynica Valley is particularly attractive.

Park Linowy Górzno has six courses. It is open year-round to organized groups; contacting the park by phone is required to use the attractions. If you would like to include this activity in your plans, take this requirement into account before adding it to your stay.

In Fiałki, near Górzno, Wioska Mydlarska offers oil and herb workshops, as well as soap-making workshops where children and school groups make natural soaps themselves.

History and Cultural Significance

Górzno received its first town rights in 1327 from Bishop Florian of Płock. The Church of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross is associated with the activities of the Order of the Holy Sepulchre. Both aspects add a historical and cultural perspective on the town to your plans, alongside its hiking, cycling and leisure activities.
