Andrychów: Views, Trails and History
Accommodation in Andrychów
Andrychów offers several ways to shape your stay: an observation tower on Pańska Góra, walking and cycling routes, and historic sites within the city. You can focus on outdoor activities or explore the city’s notable historical landmarks. For planning your trip, specific destinations and routes are more helpful than a general impression of the place.

Observation Tower and Hiking Trail on Pańska Góra
The 32-meter-high observation tower stands on the summit of Pańska Góra. It is free to visit and open year-round. Its height and summit location make the tower a clearly defined destination for your stay, regardless of the time of year you visit Andrychów.
The green hiking trail also starts in Andrychów, at Andrychów PKP railway station. From there, the route continues via Pańska Góra to Kobylica, Czuby, Przełęcz Biadasowska, Wapienica, Przykraźń, Przełęcz U Panienki, Kobyla Głowa, Gancarz and Groń Jana Pawła II. Its destination is Schronisko PTTK im. Czesława Panczakiewicza. The sequence of named stops gives you a clear guide to the route; the starting point at the railway station and the route’s destination are especially useful for planning.
A Cycling Route with a Geological Perspective
If you want to explore Andrychów by bike, there is another way to get your bearings: an unmarked 23-kilometer route that loops around the city. It offers insights into the area’s geology. This gives it a different character from the green hiking trail, which has a named route and destination. When comparing the two options, you can consider the mode of travel and the route described for each, without assuming a walking or cycling time.
There is also a salt graduation tower in the city park. Together with the observation tower on Pańska Góra, it gives you two clearly identified structures in different parts of the city to choose from. This makes it possible to plan a stay that includes destinations within the city differently from a trip focused mainly on a longer route.
Monuments and Historic Sites
The Lim-2 aircraft monument is considered a symbol of Andrychów. St. Matthias Church dates back to the 18th century. These two sites offer different perspectives: the monument stands out for its role as a city symbol, while the church’s historical context is reflected in its age.
Another historic site is the Jewish cemetery. It was established in the first half of the 19th century, and about 400 gravestones remain. Together with the church, it offers an additional perspective on Andrychów’s history. When choosing what to visit, you can weigh the specific themes: the tower and routes suit a focus on views and activity, while the monument, church and cemetery bring the city’s historic sites to the fore.
When looking for accommodation in Andrychów, you can start by considering which location suits your planned stay.
