Following a fire, the change from a wooden structure to a modern masonry church also transformed its architectural appearance. The wooden church burned down completely in 1963. A new masonry church with a modern design, by Antoni Mazur of Kraków, was built in its place. In the southern part of Witanowice, near the border with Babica, a former manor-house building still stands in the area known as “Wolańszczyzna.” It has been partly altered. Remains of the former manor house in Witanowice have been preserved on the site of a privately operated concrete plant.

Witanowice on the hiking trail

A hiking trail runs from Kalwaria Lanckorona PKP through Kalwaria Zebrzydowska, Zebrzydowice, Wysoka, and Babica, passing through Witanowice before continuing to Tomice and Wadowice. This sequence places the village on a longer route with several named stops.
