The venerated image of Our Lady of Kodeń is the main object of worship at the Sanctuary of Kodeń. In Leśna Podlaska, you can see an authentic trunk of the pear tree in the chapel, associated with events from three centuries ago. A spring or well, now enclosed, stands where the tree once grew. Those interested in religious sites will find a range of stories here: a venerated image, a historic church and the memory of a tree.

Hiking trail, museum park and stud farm

The Nadbużański Trail runs close to the Bug. It follows quiet country and field roads and connects with nature trails. This makes the outing different in character from a visit to the sanctuaries: instead of iconostases and church interiors, the focus is on the landscape and walking the trails.

The museum park in Romanów offers another cultural highlight outdoors. It features a Neo-Gothic gate and a chapel that was converted into the Kraszewski family mausoleum. Access to the grounds of the Janów Podlaski Stud Farm is subject to a condition: it is open daily from 9:00 to 16:00 with the purchase of an admission ticket. If you plan to visit these places, distinguish between a park with historic buildings and grounds that require an admission ticket.

Your choice should therefore be based on your interests and actual travel plans, not on an assumed proximity between individual attractions.
